A Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning Your Bunn Coffee Maker

Coffee makers are an essential part of many people’s morning routine. But if you don’t take the time to clean your coffee maker regularly it can start to affect the taste of your coffee. Fortunately cleaning your Bunn coffee maker is easy only takes a few minutes. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started.

Step 1: Unplug the Coffee Maker

Before you start cleaning your Bunn coffee maker make sure to unplug it from the wall. This will help prevent any accidents or injuries while you’re cleaning.

Step 2: Remove the Carafe Filter

Once the coffee maker is unplugged remove the carafe filter from the machine. Make sure to empty any remaining coffee grounds from the filter before you set it aside.

Step 3: Clean the Carafe Filter

Fill the carafe with warm soapy water use a soft cloth or sponge to scrub away any coffee residue. Rinse the carafe filter with clean water set them aside to dry.

Step 4: Clean the Coffee Maker

Using a damp cloth wipe down the outside of the coffee maker to remove any dust or dirt. Then fill the water reservoir with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar water. Place a filter in the filter basket run a brew cycle. This will help remove any built-up mineral deposits help keep your coffee tasting fresh.

Step 5: Rinse the Coffee Maker

Once the brew cycle is complete empty the water reservoir rinse it with clean water. Then run a few more brew cycles with just water to make sure all of the vinegar is removed.

Step 6: Reassemble the Coffee Maker

Once the coffee maker is clean reassemble the carafe filter. Plug the coffee maker back in you’re ready to start brewing fresh delicious coffee.
